A workshop exploring the principles articulated by David Ben-Gurion during the establishment of the IDF; Statehood, the concept of a People’s Army and the commander as a role model, and examining their relevance for the present and the future. The session combines an introduction to Ben-Gurion’s worldview with a shared ethical discussion on the meaning of these principles in today’s army and in Israeli society.
